Rita is a true Italian with all of her cultural background always with her. Born and lived for most of her life in Bergamo, a charming hilltop medieval town sited at the foothills of the Alps in the Lombardy region, Rita has been living in San Diego since 2001. She completed her education in different private and public schools of her hometown. After finishing with her studies, she entered into the business world and worked for several years for a major high-tech corporation in various professional roles. Rita has travelled extensively around the world for both business and pleasure. She is an enthusiastic and passionate learner and enjoys taking classes in different subject areas. Rita also enjoys hiking, cooking, and the Southern California lifestyle.
Maria Maestrini Williamson
Director of Language Programs
Born in Milan, Maria has been living in San Diego for ten years. She received her Laurea in Linguistics/Translation & Interpretation in Torino, where she was raised.
She feels passionate about the city of Torino and the Piedmontese region. An avid reader, she loves traveling and learning about foreign cultures. In the past Maria was the Director of Business Programs for International Students at UCSD Extension and has now decided to devote herself to promoting Italian Language and Culture in San Diego. Maria also teaches classes at the ICC and lectures on Italian culture at outside venues.
